Biographical Note

Maria João Guardado Moreira – PhD in Sociology, specialty Demography (FCSH/NOVA).
Coordinating Professor at the Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco, where she coordinates the Master’s Degree in Social Gerontology and Age.Comm – Interdisciplinary Research Unit – Functional Aging Communities.
She is an associate researcher at the Grupo de Estudios Población y Sociedad (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), where she also completed a Post-Doctorate.
He has participated in several national and international projects and published several articles on social aging, demography, regional demography, migration and health.
