Maria de Belém Roseira

Biographical Note

Maria de Belém Roseira Graduated in Law from the University of Coimbra, following her legal activity with active intervention in Portuguese politics.
Former Minister of Health (1995-1999) and former Minister for Equality (1999-2000), she developed her career in Public Administration.
She was a member of the Assembly of the Republic in several legislatures.
He participated in the founding of several private social solidarity institutions.
She chaired the General Assembly of the World Health Organization and was a candidate in the 2016 presidential elections.
She had a regular presence, as a commentator, on television stations such as SIC Notícias.
In addition to a wide range of awards and distinctions, the President of the Republic awarded him the Grand Cross of the Order of Christ in recognition of his career.
